Health Maintenance Activities (HMA) are approved health-related tasks that trained caregivers perform to help individuals manage their health conditions at home. These tasks go beyond standard personal care, addressing specific clinical needs as directed by a licensed healthcare provider.
Through Colorado’s Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and Community First Choice (CFC) benefit, eligible individuals can receive health maintenance support as part of their IHSS plan. Our caregivers coordinate closely with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure care is consistent, safe, and properly documented.
